During todays Nintendo Wii U Direct, Mr. Iwata announced that the Wii U is set to receive two updates starting this spring. The updates are set to focus on speeding up the Wii U’s operating system. The first update set to arrive sometime this Spring will also bring the Wii U’s Virtual Console along with it. The Virtual Console will began with NES, SNES followed by GBA games in the near future. Virtual Console games will feature save points, Gamepad play and Miiverse integration. The second update will arrive in the summer. The updates are set to address issues when exiting software and loading times.
