Capcom has recently stated that Resident Evil would find a great home on Wii U. Resident Evil: Revelations director Koshi Nakanishi recently spoke with Official Nintendo Magazine and let out why he believes the Wii U console would be a good fit for the Resident Evil series. Heres what Nakanishi had to say:
“The Wii U certainly looks like it will enable creators to come up with all kinds of never-before-seen gameplay ideas. There are lots of things I’d like to try out on it.”
“If I was to work on a game for the Wii U, I would definitely want to make something that couldn’t be done on any other hardware.”
“The GamePad’s separate screen enables so many possibilities, and playing on a television screen would enable sharing the experience in a way that wasn’t possible on Nintendo 3DS. I feel it would let us create a very unique and fun Resident Evil game.”
Capcom and Nintendo seem to have good relationship with many unique Resident Evil games hitting their consoles over the years. The 3DS recently saw Resident EvilL: Revelations which was a completely new game taking place of several games in the series and scored well by many reviewers. While it would be nice to see Resident Evil 6 hit the Wii U, a new game in the series would also be welcome.
