Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate has been announced by Capcom for a European and North American release in March 2013 on Wii U and 3DS. Capcom developer Ryozo stated that Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate will take advantage of the Wii U and 3DS’s unique functionality, “To provide players with a truly intuitive hunting experience.” The touch screen on both the 3DS and Wii U Gamepad will be used to in-game books, field maps, and mini games. The 3DS version will feature a street pass mode that enables players to exchange their guild cards which show all of the players hunting information. The 3DS version will also feature 4 player local and solo play.
The Wii U version will feature the ability to play with 3DS versions of the game via local wireless connection. Those who own the 3DS and Wii U versions will be able to transfer content between the 3DS and Wii U versions on the fly which will allow players to go from console to portable play in no time.
